When my daughter was leaving Junior High School and starting High School, another mom and I gave a luncheon for all the girls in the neighborhood who were in the class. We made actual fortune cookies and put fortunes inside that predicted success. We had place cards, so we were able to assign fortunes to the proper recipient. “You will make cheerleader!” to ones who were going to try out or “Honor roll is in your future!” or “Volleyball A team”. You get the idea. The girls were delighted with them, but think how cute it would be to do the felt cookies, so they would be able to keep them! They could be in school colors or in beige for cookie color. I LOVE this craft!
PS. I laughed out loud at your corny jokes and will share some of them with the grandchildren!
That is a great story and I’m sure you helped some of the kids accomplishing their dream.
