“YOU DON’T NEED TO SEW IT” Episode #8 – DIY Purse From Boring To Dazzling

Today we’re going to show you how to take a plain looking purse or murse and give it a cool new look. AND YOU WON’T EVEN NEED TO SEW IT!

For this fun and unique way to update the look of your DIY purse you’re going to need:

  • A purse or murse
  • Some fabric studs or decorations
  • A toothpick
  • Paper plate
  • Speed-Sew

Step #1: The first thing you’ll need to do is to figure out how you’d like the design to look. This will of course vary depending on the shape and style of your handbag, the types of decorations you get, and your personal preference.
Step #2: Once you’ve figured out where to put everything, you put some speed-sew onto the paper plate and then dip your toothpick into the glue to add a little bit of it to the back of the decoration.
Step #3: Now you put the decoration where you’d like it to be on the purse and continue doing that with the rest of your decorations, making sure to not add too much of the speed-sew so it doesn’t squish out from under the pieces.
Step #4: If you’re decorating an older, used purse, you can also take this opportunity to fix any tears or parts that are coming loose as well. Just use the speed-sew to hold flaps down, keep parts together, prevent further tears, and so on.
Step #5: Once all of your decorations have been added and any repairs have been made, the speed-sew only needs a few minutes to set, but you might as well leave it for at least half an hour before you start filling your purse with items and using it.
And there you have it a DIY Purse- now you have an accessory that shows off your personality and will get noticed!
