In this video, I show you a step-by-step process of how to transform an old pair of jeans into a denim maxi skirt with an open back slit without sewing. Not only is this a sustainable way to repurpose and upcycle clothing, but it also offers the opportunity to create fashion pieces without breaking the bank. Denim maxi skirts can often come with a hefty price tag, ranging from $100 to $400, depending on the brand and wash. By upcycling your old clothes, you can achieve a similar look at a fraction of the cost.

For this project, you will need your pair of jeans, sharp fabric scissors, a seam ripper, a cotton swap, a container lid, and last but not least, Speed-Sew Premium Fabric glue. Everything I used is listed and linked below.
